Prompts Library is Live and Open to Contributions!
The launch of our Prompts Library, which celebrates the diversity of backgrounds and thinking amongst the community.
🎉 We are delighted to share our collaborative Prompts Library!
A key feature of the Crafting Participatory Tech Futures workshop is the use of prompts — short snippets of text distributed throughout the workshop space. The prompts will be central to helping participants hold deep conversations whilst shedding preconceptions. For this purpose, prompts are decontextualised, sometimes surprising, and often from sources that seemingly have little to do with tech or AI.
🗺️ We are therefore building an online library with the resources that the prompts come from, which could be the Global South or the Global North, academic or literary sources, spoken or written works, and so on. We want to celebrate the diversity of backgrounds and thinking amongst the community!
📚 You can already see some of the prompts the team has put together in our Prompts Library. (Prompts appear under the “Notes” tab for each item.)
🤗 And you can help make it better! Alongside the library, we have a form for you to contribute prompts, which you can access here. With your help, we can work towards a decolonised library of AI futures, and make sure workshop participants can have meaningful encounters and conversations. Please submit prompts by May 31st to be considered in time for the workshop at the Fairness, Accountability and Transparency (FAccT) conference.
Contributors will be acknowledged in the library and the post-workshop report.
